A picture of Emma Leilani Judy Bennetts Holmes taken for her 16th birthday. It is a school-pictures style photo. She has red hair with pigtails and has a beautiful smile; she is wearing a yellow and white stiped shirt.

Emma was an amazing little girl.  Though she was 23 years old when she passed, Emma didn't change one bit after this photo on her 16th birthday.

You may be here because you saw Emma's memorial benches in Fort Collins, Colorado, or her memorial plaque on Galveston Island.  Thank you.

Please honor her memory and keep her in your hearts by reading about her, looking at her photos, and watching her video (more in progress).

You can read her obituary here.

With love,

A two-foot tall pine post with a memorial marker / plaque on top, on the far southwest end of Galveston Island. It says, "Our beloved daughter, Emma Leilani Judy Bennetts Holmes, May 28, 2002 - October 29, 2025, entrusted to the sea." A seashell wreath hangs from it, and two sea shells are in the sand at its base.
